Hello,

The Village of Sussex is hiring for several seasonal positions and we need your help spreading the word. These positions are critical to maintaining our parks and offering recreation programming. The labor shortage is impacting our ability to hire for these critical positions.

New in 2022 we are offering full-time seasonal employees the option to enroll up to two children in the Village of Sussex day camp program for free. If you are looking to make some extra money this summer, but can’t justify the cost of child care, we encourage you to take a closer look at our job openings.

Parks Employee

Seasonal park employees assist with athletic field prep, mowing, trimming, weeding, cleaning park restrooms, painting, mulching, garbage removal, event set-up/take-down, special event staffing, and a variety of park projects. Applicants must be 17 or older and hold a valid driver’s license. The starting wage is $12 per hour. Learn more!

Day Camp Counselor

Day Camp Counselors assist with the planning, organization, and implementation of weekly camp activities to create a high quality experience for every camper. Applicants must be 18 or older. The starting wage is $12 per hour. Learn more!

Splash Pad Attendant

Splash Pad Attendants work at The Grove and will help keep our splash pad, pavilion, multi-sport courts, and playground clean and safe by answering patron questions and resolving any issues; cleaning restrooms, the day camp pavilion, splash pad area, playground, multi-sport courts, and general area around The Grove; completing chemical checks; and conducting general patrols of the area to address issues and answer questions. Applicants must be 18 or older. The starting wage is $13 per hour. Learn more!

Tennis Coordinator

The Tennis Coordinator plans, organizes, and implements weekly tennis activities to create a high-quality experience for every player. The starting wage is $15 per hour. Learn more! 

Tennis Instructor

Tennis Instructors assist with the planning, organization, and implementation of weekly tennis activities to create a high-quality experience for every player. Applicants must be 16 or older. The starting wage is $10 per hour. Learn more!
