Adults Over 50 Program Coordinator

The Village of Sussex is looking for a passionate, creative, and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Adults Over 50 Program Coordinator to coordinate programs, organize social engagement, organize and host special events, and develop recreational opportunities geared towards adults over 50. The Village is looking for a candidate who can build on the successes of past programming while identifying new opportunities to engage this population. 

What You’ll Do
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead recreational programs and special events for adults 50+
  • Build relationships and create a welcoming environment for program participants
  • Organize day trips and community outings
  • Collaborate with Village team members and community partners
  • Handle program logistics with strong attention to detail

This is a part-time position with flexible hours, working between 20 and 28 hours per week. We can work with you to create a schedule that fits what you’re looking for. Schedules can vary week-to-week if needed depending on programs and you’re availability.
 
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or GED (post High School education preferred), a valid driver’s license, First Aid and CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain), and the ability to operate a computer with basic software along with basic office equipment.
 

Pay and Benefits:
The hourly pay for this position is $20.43, dependent on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for vacation time, holiday pay, and sick leave pro-rated to their normal working schedule.
