The Village of Sussex is looking to grow our dance instruction staff for our School Program in 2025/2026.

Are you a dance enthusiast who loves working with kids? We’re looking for an energetic dance teacher to inspire and educate young dancers (ages 4-12) in ballet, tap, jazz and pom-style dance!

What We're Looking For:

  • A passion for dance and a love for teaching children.
  • Experience in instruction, choreography, and class curriculum management is a plus - but if you have the enthusiasm and dedication, we're happy to train you!
  • Background in dance, whether through a dance degree or experience in a dance program. 

What You'll Do:

  • Lead engaging and structured classes for young dancers.
  • Develop fun and age-appropriate choreography.
  • Create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Help build confidence, coordination, and creativity in each student.

Hours: Classes are typically held in the evenings during the week with about 3 classes per night, but we will be flexible for the right candidate. Classes run September through March with our recital held at the beginning of March. There may be opportunities to continue teaching with our Summer program for the right candidate.

Wage: $14.00 per hour, DOQ
