Concrete, Paving & Traffic Signal Work To Start in Mid-September

Construction continues at the Main Street (CTH VV) and Pewaukee Road intersection as the project moves into several final phases of work.

The Village has received an updated schedule from the developer and contractor for the remaining construction activities. The dates below are approximate and weather permitting, and traffic conditions may change as work progresses.

What’s Happening Next

Final Grading
Final grading at the intersection is planned to continue over the next several weeks.

Concrete Work: September 14–25
Installation of the new concrete curb and gutter and sidewalks, including required concrete cure time, is scheduled to take place approximately September 14 through September 25.

Traffic Signal Electrical Work: September 16–October 2
Electrical work for the new traffic signals is scheduled to occur approximately September 16 through October 2.

Milling, Paving & Striping: September 24–28
Milling, paving and striping operations are scheduled for approximately September 24 through September 28.

During milling and paving, the current single-lane traffic pattern and automatic flaggers will remain in place. Traffic control devices will be adjusted as needed to allow crews to complete work on the turn lanes and driving lanes.

New Traffic Signals: End of September/Early October
The new traffic signals are currently scheduled to be commissioned in late September or early October.

What Drivers Should Expect

For now, single-lane traffic with automatic flaggers will remain in place at the intersection.

As work progresses, traffic control devices may shift to accommodate different construction activities. Drivers should expect delays, slow down through the work zone and follow the directions of flaggers and posted traffic-control devices.

Project Timeline

The project is continuing through multiple phases, and several activities will overlap. The schedule above reflects the latest information provided to the Village and may change due to weather or other construction conditions.

The Village will continue to provide updates as we receive new information about the project and traffic impacts.
