Motorists should plan ahead for a temporary road closure on West Silver Spring Drive as We Energies and its contractor, Miller Pipeline, complete natural gas line and valve repairs.
The closure is scheduled for Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21, and will be in effect 24 hours a day during the project. The schedule is weather dependent and may be extended if necessary.
Closure Area
West Silver Spring Drive will be closed to through traffic from Tulip Lane east to Waukesha Avenue. Tulip Lane will remain accessible from W Silver Spring Drive throughout the project.
Detour Route
W Silver Spring Drive will not be accessible from Waukesha Avenue.
Drivers will need to follow the signed detour by way of Main Street: Waukesha Avenue → Main Street → West Silver Spring Drive
Please follow the posted detour and allow extra travel time.
Resident & Business Access
- Residents within the closure area will continue to have access to their homes.
- Businesses, such as Paws Are Us, will remain accessible; however, customers may experience delays or minor inconveniences while work is underway.
The work includes replacing a natural gas valve and restoring the roadway once repairs are complete.
