In Person Absentee Voting Begins Tuesday, July 28 for Partisan Primary

As the August 11 Partisan Primary approaches, the Village of Sussex Clerk's Office is here to help make voting easy.

Beginning Tuesday, July 28, registered Wisconsin voters living in the Village of Sussex may cast an absentee ballot in person at the Sussex Civic Center.

Whether you're voting early because you'll be out of town, have a busy schedule, or simply prefer to vote before Election Day, in person absentee voting is a convenient option.

Who can vote absentee in person?

Any registered Wisconsin voter who resides in the Village of Sussex may vote absentee in person during the designated voting period.

What about absentee by mail?

All votes in Wisconsin can request an absentee ballot be mailed to them for any reason. Voters must be registered before they can request an absentee ballot. Voters may request their absentee ballot in writing. To request you absentee ballot, visit MyVote Wisconsin.

When can I vote?

In person absentee voting is available at the Sussex Civic Center during normal operating hours: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. between July 28-August 7. Per state law, no absentee voting or voter registration is permitted on the Monday before an election (in this instance, Monday, August 10).

Do I need to bring anything?

Yes. Wisconsin law requires voters to present an acceptable photo ID before receiving a ballot.

Can I register when I come to vote?

When is Election Day?

The Partisan Primary will be held on Tuesday, August 11. Village of Sussex residents can vote at the Sussex Civic Center that day from 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
