Curbside Leaf Collection
Curbside leaf collection begins November 3 will continue until the leaves stop falling. Our goal is to collect the leaves from each home every two weeks during the leaf collection period. We will announce when the crews are preparing to start their final pass through the Village. Learn More & View Status Updates
Property owners should:
- Refrain from raking leaves in the street until after hydrant flushing is complete, approximately October 31. Until then, you may store your leaves on the grass behind the curb or you can take them to the yard waste site.
- Rake leaves into the street for pick up.
- Spread piles out along the length of the property, rather than placed in one large pile.
- Piles should not be placed so far into the street that they interfere with two-way traffic.
- Care should be taken not to block storm drains to help prevent street flooding.
- Help keep our crews moving efficiently throughout the Village by only putting leaves at the curb for collection. Grass, plants, branches, sticks, pumpkins and other similar organic materials are not accepted as part of this curbside program. These items clog our leaf vacuuming system and cause delays in service delivery.
