The Village of Sussex is looking for a dedicated Community Development Director to help facilitate growth throughout the Village and to bolster the Village’s economic development efforts. The Community Development Director will lead a team charged with implementing the Village’s economic development, zoning code enforcement, land use planning, and building inspection functions. The incumbent will have the opportunity to lead transformative projects and initiatives such as developing and implementing an economic development plan and will regularly interface with community and business leaders.
Qualifications:
The position requires graduation from a four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in economic development, planning, or similar field. A master’s degree is preferred. Five years of progressively responsible work experience in a related position and supervisory experience is required. A comparable amount of work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Pay & Benefits:
The starting salary range is $80,750 to $101,063, with actual rate dependent on experience and qualifications.
